Carl Restivo

Carl Restivo is the Co-Founder of the Rock School Scholarship Fund.  He moved from NYC to LA in 2005 to open and run the School of Rock Hollywood, and to serve as its Music Director; a role which he held until November 2010.   Restivo has an outstanding music resume as a singer, multi-instrumentalist, performer, writer, and producer.

Carl currently plays guitar and sings with Tom Morello’s The Nightwatchman.  In 2009-10, Carl served as guitarist in Rihanna’s live band for a worldwide promo tour. In 2006-7, Carl was also the bassist for Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party in 2006-7, and in 2008 was lead guitarist for Perry Farrell’s solo venture. He has also performed with Slash, Jerry Cantrell, Wayne Kramer, Iggy Pop, Mick Mars, Flea, Stewart Copeland, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, The Doors, Ben Harper, Trent Reznor, and many more.

Carl also co-wrote “Go All The Way (Into The Twilight)” with Perry Farrell on the over 3.5 million platinum soundtrack to the movie “Twilight.”
